Actor Mahima Chaudhry, who portrayed Khushi Kapoor’s mother in Nadaaniyan, recently addressed the film's poor reception. Drawing parallels with Ranbir Kapoor’s controversial film Animal, Mahima noted that criticism is inevitable.
In an interview, Mahima remarked, “Negative reviews are fine. The audience is always divided. Whether it’s Animal or any other film, there will be people who dislike it. Some prefer realistic cinema, while others enjoy light-hearted, fictional content. Sometimes I want to watch something meaningful, and other times I just want something easygoing. Opinions will always differ.”
Despite the backlash, Mahima revealed that her inner circle had positive feedback. “I reached out to my friends and family after the release, and most of them told me they had already watched it. I’ve received plenty of love and positive messages in my DMs,” she added.
